Hey guys,

I listed a short script here called 'The Survivor - A Tale From the Nearscape' even though I was producing it myself as I wanted some feedback on the script before the shoot. And I got it, thanks!

It's all ready to go and below is the trailer. The short itself will be available online on the 16th and I'll send the link to Don.

For those interested, this cost me £1,500 to produce so is a real micro budget sci-fi but I think we've one a pretty good job making it look a lot more expensive than that.....even if I do say so myself.

Damn...looks pretty good for sure, Mark!  Nice work.

Soundtrack sounds great and that song is a perfect choice.

Damn, that looks awesome! I feel very stupid for saying you won't be able to film that other apocalypse OWC short. You can do it, somehow. I'm a believer now.

That looks great! I have one question regarding the music though. Did you have to get permission to use it?  :)

Yeah, that's a very nice trailer! Good luck to you with it!

Impressive.  Pretty sure I remember reading the short - no way I'd have thought you could pull off that kind of sci-fi for $1500.  Can't wait to see the full short.  Congrats.

No - we recorded a cover version using a local artist - this bypasses any copyright law (which is why you see so many new pop artists doing cover versions, it's cheaper and less risky than using new material!). The other factor which covers me is I'm not charging any fee for this or the short film, I won't make a penny from it.

Thanks for all the nice comments. :-)
