Hello,

Little about me: I attended USC filmschool but dropped out after about a year. I have worked as an assistant/script reader to a high level Hollywood producer: Mark Gordon. I was essentially a gatekeeper when it came to screenplay submissions--you had to get through me to get to Mark. Several years ago, I also placed in the top 10 of the Creative Screenwriting Magazine's AAA screenwriting contest out of approx. 3,000 submissions. So I know a thing or two about the craft.

I'm curious where you are on your screenwriting journey. What are your main goals and dreams and your biggest frustrations and challenges? Screenwriting can be a lonely pursuit; I'm curious if you struggle with the same issues I have. Short (but specific) answers are fine.

1. What’s your biggest frustration with [CHALLENGE]?

2. What’s your biggest fear when it comes to your [CHALLENGE]?

3. What would you be willing to do to solve/overcome [CHALLENGE]?

4. If you could have one question answered about [CHALLENGE], what would it be?

Look forward to seeing where you're at on your Journey!

I'm in a weird in-between place. Done the top 10 in a comp thing, but comps seem to do very little aside from make the comp lots of cash so I don't enter those anymore.

I'm working with an LA producer on a feature script right now. I have a horror feature that should be filmed later in the year here in the UK. I have sold another feature to the US but after almost three years now, I doubt it will ever be produced. I'm fairly happy about that as they butchered my script into something that would never have been written by me. The point in buying it in the first place is completely lost on me.

I've got lots of shorts in the mix too. Two should be released later this year. Got a couple animation shorts being made that I'm excited about too.

My biggest frustration is time. Everything takes a long time.

My biggest fear used to be failure, but then I joined this site and showcased my work. Now I don't have any fears and cannot think of anything there is to be fearful of.
