SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  Script Consultant

Hi everyone,

I'm an experienced script consultant and editor. I've worked professionally for production companies on scripted series and films and am now setting up a brand new script coverage service which I'd like to share with you all.

As my website is currently under construction, I've listed the service here with details and (flexible) rates: https://www.fiverr.com/theonewhoreads/read-annotate-and-provide-coverage-for-scripts?arrived_from_manage_gigs=true&display_share=true

If anyone is interested and wants more information or would like to offer me any feedback please reply here or feel free to send me a private message.

Thanks!

Adam

Hi Adam

Obviously, we don't know you from Adam (sorry could not resist!) and this and other screenwriter communities can be a little suspicious of people offering script consultant services that don't have credible experience.

Clearly, you have reader and coverage experience, but I'm sure people would like to know who you've read for, what scripts you've worked on as a consultant and any other specific experience.

I'd also advise publishing a sample report or two so people can see what they are getting for their money.

A while ago (last year?) someone came on the forum with a similar aim to yours and I believe did a few free reports... that might be worth considering too.

Best of luck

Hmm... don't we come to SS so we don't have to pay for this crap.

Not sure Don will let this stay as he normally don't let people advertise here when it's not a free service offered. I'll have to ask.

Hope you will stick around and help fellow writers with some of your advice though.

Folks,

Adam reached out to me to ask if he could join the discussion and promote his new script coverage service.

I responded, ""Please limit your advertisement for your service to one thread.  The "Getting to know you..." board is probably best for that.  Folks may have strong feelings about coverage services...  "

Also, there are folks on this board who do avail themselves of coverage services that they know and trust, so why not let Adam join the community, particularly if he is keen on joining the discussion.

And Anthony, well said.

And Pia, apologies for not letting you know.

Some of the best feedback I've ever gotten has come from coverage.

Adam, welcome to the boards.

Do you have some examples of tips you've paid for that have made your writing better that you haven't been able to get from the countless amazing writers on SS?

I'm genuinely interested because we have such a great community of writers right here, that I personally know have made my writing better.

I did pay for coverage recently mostly out of curiosity. Kind of WTF thing.

Got to say I get better feedback here.
