Couldn't find the original thread on this:

Anyway - I am out. It has been removed from the watch list. This is one of the more confusing, WTF, plot hole filled series I've ever watched. A shame since the production value is off the charts.

I've watched the first two episodes. People recommend it and then again, the rating for it is crazy high. 8.9 on IMDB.

It wasn't confusing for me though, on the contrary, I found it pretty clear. It just didn't raise any questions and thus didn't pick my interest. Didn't understand the Man in Black but have a hunch who he is and what role he's playing.
You may think that sci-fi is not my thing but I did like Altered Carbon very much, so that's not it.

It's just this one is not for me either, I guess.

Season one had problems but was watchable. Season two is a train wreck so you probably did yourself a favor by bailing

I didn't know you watched the whole season. Was it good though? I couldn't stick with it. I may say I made myself watch the second episode. It took me a long time, too.

It was excellent from a special effects/production perspective and the acting was solid throughout - but it was confusing as all get out. Not sure I still understand it.

Ok, got it. There's a thread for it somewhere here on SS, I've seen it. But it was about the first season mostly if I'm not mistaken. People liked it as I remember.

Mixed reaction as I recalled

I bailed around episode 9 of season 1 when things started getting too repetitive. I only lasted till ep 9 because I love the concept so much. Unfortunately, in their quest for franchise bucks, they want to stretch stories out for too long. It's annoying. I've never watched a season 2 of anything since the 1980s.

I'm waiting for the 2 season of Altered Carbon. There's no news about them though, they might never happen. But it's seriously good in my opinion.

I suffered through season one and the finale was worth it. Now I'm on episode three of season two and I'm wondering what the hell happened and if I'm even going to continue. So disappointing as I wanted to make it to Shogun World.

Has anyone tried the SYFY production 'The Expanse'? It ROCKS! Try it out. The first two seasons are on Amazon Prime. I went ahead and bought season three since it's so f_ing good.

Yeah, I got through the entire season so it must have been entertaining. However, I don't think there's room for a second series. They'd have to change a lot to keep me interested.

WestWorld looks slick but the repetitive Groundhog Day stuff with Dolores really started to grate.

Altered Carbon: tried twice, couldn't stick with it.

Mind Hunter: Can't wait for Season 2, not expected till next year.

The Alienist: Glad I stuck with it.

Looking forward to Cargo next week - feature length starting Martin Freeman - developed from this very successful short:

Spend half our lives lately going through Netflix with a: No, no, no, no, nope!

I only watched the first two or three eps. Altered Carbon, I'm still watching. I'm on ep 7? Mindhunter, I couldn't stop watching. Right up my alley. Cargo... reminded me about my own short film The End. I have no interest in watching the feature after having seen the short. I thought the short was great. Doubt they will be able to make the feature as good as that one. However, if the masses say it is, I will prolly give in.

I saw it. It was pretty average. The ending was good though.

The movie Cargo?  It's streaming on Netflix now.  I'm going to watch it and will start a thread.  Looks pretty cool, actually.

Westworld is alright i guess. i'm still with it for now. i don't really have anything better to watch at the moment.
could not get into Mindhunter... something about it put me off. i find the writing a bit pretentious...gives me that same snobby vibe i got from  Donnie Darko - in the way that it seems to get off telling you how smart it is.
