SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Questions or Comments  /  Blog site for my new script

Hey everyone, you may remember me as the writer of.... well, who knows.  But I do write!  And I have been optioned.  And filmed!  I also have another script from this site "Last Rites," being filmed in Topanga State Park in California with an unusually large cast of 60 people (I really don't care about budgets at all).

Anyway, I have a feature optioned from this site ("According to Plan", which got re-written at the request of the producers and became "The Journeyers"), and my writing partner on that script was Rick Hansberry.  Many of you might remember him from the old Movie Poet site.

Well, we're now doing another script together, called "Lake Regret," and we're blogging the entire process of coming up with the concept to the outlining and the actual writing of the script.  We also throw in a bunch of side notes -- like what it's like to have a writing partner and reasons why you should and shouldn't.

You can find the blog here:

Feel free to follow along, post comments or make suggestions as to how we can make it better.  The whole point of this is to sort of document what it's like to actually go through the writing process for a script, especially for those writers who haven't experienced the thrill of writing "FADE OUT" to finish up a feature.

Thanks!
Gary

Thanks guys!  We’re definitely not web designers, so if there’s any suggestions you have to make it better or more appealing, we’d Appreciate the input. Evetually we’ll expand to Twitter and Instagram and try to market the hell out it. Social networking may actually work - but you still have to have a great script.
