SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Simplyscripts Collaborative Effort  /  Looking for female co-writer for romcom pilot

I have an idea I'd like to do for a romcom pilot, but I'd also really like to have a woman's perspective on it. If you're interested, please send me PMs comedy-writing samples and tell me what are your favorite comedies in both TV and film. If you'd prefer e-mail, please let me know. As a guy, I've had my own experiences with romance and dating and I don't think they're necessarily the same that women experience. So what I'd like to have here is two different perspectives combined into one story.

I'm an unrepresented writer who's self-produced some of my own work, has had some shorts produced by others. If my collaborator is also unrepresented, my goal would be for us to use this script as a way to gain representation or to use it for contests, and other good that could come of it. Here's a link to my Script Revolution page which has a lot of the stuff I've written: https://www.scriptrevolution.com/profiles/oscar-moreno. I feel like the comedies I've written so far don't really reflect what I want to do with this pilot but please feel free to check out my work!

To give you an idea of the comedies and romances I enjoy that I'm looking at as inspiration for this: The Apartment, Punch-Drunk Love, What If/The F-Word, The Brothers Bloom, How I Met Your Mother, Love, The Baxter, Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances, Chungking Express, Spaced, About Time, Amelie, Flirting With Disaster, among many others.

Thanks in advance!

How much are you paying? If you're looking for a non-paid collaboration then you should share some samples of your own. Otherwise, I don't see why anyone would reply. They'd have to be pretty desperate... and you don't want that. Or, maybe you do.

Good point, thanks. Now I've linked to my Script Revolution page. Although like I say, I feel like the comedies I've written so far don't really reflect what I want to do with this pilot.
