Gotta say, I've been a fan of all the "Ocean's" movies.  I'm also a fan of Sandra Bullock.  But, man, oh man, was this ever an utter bore.

Very disappointing for me and the girlfriend.  It wasn't funny, it wasn't clever, it wasn't remotely believable, and to top things off, Sandy looked like shit (she's obviously had some major work done on her face, and the results are far from good).

I was shocked when I looked at Rotten Tomatoes, and saw a 68% approval rating.  Even more shocked to see that this film made $139 Million at the NABO, and another $158 Million overseas, for a total of $297 Million on a $70 Million budget.

We were bored and there's just nothing here that is remotely memorable.

I saw this and was bored as well. I can’t recall a heist film where so much of their plan went off without a hitch. The previous Ocean films were always throwing new obstacles and challenges at the characters. It was fun to watch them improvise and overcome. Not here. Just watch how they do it and it works perfectly. By the time their big ending twist rolls out I was already counting minutes until the end.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this movie sucked.
Like you say, the whole thing was so smooth, no significant obstacles for them to overcome.

I am also not a fan of this "take movies with all male characters and replace them with all female characters" approach - seems to me to be a lazy way to put more female characters on the big screen - why not create new female characters and give them their own compelling story lines? rather than carbon copy others - the movie started the exact same way as Oceans 11 - it annoyed me

Or - go one further and have both male AND female characters, actually be properly inclusive - instead of this "us or them" mentality

I also hated the ending - I was actually outraged. The forum won't let me add a spoiler box so I can't explain why
