Hi folks,

I have written six features so far, which I really enjoyed writing. Now, I take a break from feature and focus on short. I 'm also enjoying writing shorts. I find writing short is very different than feature. I have written three shorts and going to do the fourth. I'm curious to know. How many shorts you have written?

24 shorts in roughly 3 years. And 3 completed features.

About 60 shorts, 8 features and 2 TV pilots

Back in film school in 2012-2013 I had written 2 shorts, one of which my writing partner and I added to last year to try and make it a feature-length, and we are very close to completing it. The other we have done only minor revisions on.

Then in 2016 I wrote 3 more shorts, two of which my writing partner and I recently added to and they now feature in our horror/sci-fi anthology feature along with 2 more newer shorts we wrote last year, and 2 we wrote this year.

Plus 3 micro shorts (a little over 1 page or less) written last year that are based on dreams I had, and also a scary story I told my one friend when we were children, that are also included in the anthology feature as interludes and an overlude.

11 altogether so far.

I have lost track, but well over 100+ by now. I started out writing shorts and they are my favorites, but I wish I had started out with features instead since I still struggle to write those even though I've written many of those too.

I'd say about 20. And it's been sitting on the same number for a while now. Time to get back at it!

About 30, with roughly 130 in various stages of development.

I've written 4 features with roughly 1300 in various stages of development. :)

16 features, 26 shorts (including 10 OWC), two micro shorts, and a few unfinished projects here and there that I can't account for number-wise.

About 15 shorts, 8-9 features.

I am not a fan of shorts.

Thanks to you all for your replies. Before posting this question, I thought there would not be more than 20 short scripts. SS has not only good but also hard working short script writers and as a result, it has had lots of short scripts options and sales.

I started writing screenplays 'properly' in 2014 and spent the first three years focusing just on shorts. I did this to teach myself how to write lean, clean and like an awesome machine. I then worked up to TV pilots and wrote my first 'proper' feature last year. I still write shorts as well coz they are great writing exercises and I love writing them.
