Congrats Warren, Crazy In Love was one of my favs!

Same to Paul, Blessing was an awesome read!

Happy to see my top four among the Writer's top six.

Well done to everyone, this OWC was tough.

And thanks to Pia and Don for this amazing challenge!

Never thought I could write comedy and I almost made Zack choke on his coffee. That felt like a win.  ;D ;D ;D

Congrats Warren! Well deserved, it’s a good script.

Same to you, Paul. Well done.

I’m surprised mine is up there, it must be a case of people voting for roms over non-roms.  ;D

Great challenge, I think we all learned a lot from it. Thanks Don and Pia!

Well done, Warren,

Comfortably the best up here in my opinion and that's a high score too. Left me with that sickly-sweet-loving feeling that you get after watching a decent romcom, but it has brains too and wasn't a straight liner.

Done, lad. Best of luck with it as I reckon you could have something there.

Cam

P.S. Sorry, well in Paul too! Also a good one

P.P.S. and thanks Don!!!! As always, great work (and also for the name)

Congrats Warren and Paul!  Well done by both of you!

Thanks Pia and Don for a great challenge this go-round!

Next challenge: a 100 page action-romance-sy fy that involves love-sick Krackens from outer space. You have three days to complete and 1 day to review.

Congrats Warren.

And to everyone else who entered and participated.

And, lastly, very sorry to all who read through my mess of an entry. Rom-com is NOT my genre. Lol.

Thanks, everyone!

Feeling super proud today, so glad you liked my script.

It feels just that little bit more special with the amount of entries and the fact that rom com is so far from what I normally write. If anything I thought I might potentially get a Writer's Choice for horror one day.

I've said it already, but thanks to Pia and Don, and everyone that took part.

I wrote two scripts I would otherwise have never written, and I'm very happy with how both of them went.

For those who liked Small-Town Cops and commented on its abrupt ending, well that’s exactly what it was. I spent the week writing and tweaking Crazy In Love, Small-Town Cops was an afterthought I had on the last day of the challenge. The initial idea was that Andy would commit a petty crime a day in order to see Officer Lacey and then ending with her either phoning him or them being caught having a drink together. I just literally ran out of time and had to wrap it up. I will definitely be expanding it into the full concept.

Anyway... thanks again. It’s been a great challenge.

A serious congrats to the winners, although we're all winners for participating, of course.

I also want to throw out special to congrats to both Mark (Irish) and those that gave his script a high score.

It's great to see that a wild, goofy script that wasn't technically well written meant  enough and stayed with the readers.  You guys know I judge heavily on how well or how poorly a script is written...and I'm pretty sure I hammered this one for the writing, but...it stayed with me, and I actually knew it would, as it was very funny and the tone just worked very well. I "scored" this script with three 4's and one 1, out of a 5 possible.  If the writing was better, this would have been a top 2 or 3 for me, easily.

So, thanks to all who saw that.  It makes me think about being so anal about the techs, but hey, that's me, I guess.

Well done Warren on getting writers choice. And to those with top rated scripts.

And well done for everyone who took part, especially those who took the time to read and review.

For my first OWC, I feel like I was thrown in the deep end with the volume of scripts I had to read (Not easy with a pregnant fiance, a toddler, full time job and studying). But I really enjoyed it, and in no way would I have written this script without the challenge - so thanks for organizing it  :)

Warren - I'm still annoyed at you for ending Small Town Cops so suddenly lol That was the script I was enjoying the most. You can probably tell from my review that I was genuinely gutted it ended that way - Great writing though.

Thanks.

And yes I will definitely finish it properly. I had fun with the characters and have a pretty good idea where I wanted it to go.

Congrats on your first OWC :)

Congratulations, Warren! You have a natural feel for story telling that can't be taught. I see many scripts produced in your future. You naturally write what producer want.

Thanks all for taking part in this OWC!

Thank you to those who read, but didn't enter. That is always great!  8)

Looks like a few newbies took part. I don't recognize the names. Fewer multi entry writers than I expected. That's usually what happens when there are this many entries.

Traditionally, the next OWC would be in April, but as always, it's up to Don. Don't forget, if you have an idea for an OWC, you are always welcome to approach Don about running one yourself. He's also very open minded about trying new things, so don't feel it will have to stick to the old format.

:)
