Originally released in Europe in 2016, under the title, "True Crimes", but not released in the states until 2018 under the new name, "Dark Crimes".

Have you heard of it?  Jim Carrey, under a thick beard, playing a Polish detective?  Sound like a comedy?  Well, it's not, but most of the time old Jim speaks, you may laugh, as his "accent" changes several times throughout the film...sometimes, in the same scene.

I remember when this was released here last year, and saw the 0% on Rotten Tomatoes and knew I had to see it.  Well, I did, and it's God Damned Terrible, IMO.  Seriously one of the slowest, dullest films in recent memory.

I'm not going to waste your time with going into the plot, but sadly, although it's a very simple plot, without reading on IMDB and Wiki, I would be hard pressed to give a quick and dirty plot synopsis.  Maybe I fell asleep...a few times.  I'm not sure, but it's so ultra dull and bleak.  Absolutely no humor here whatsoever.  I don't know if a single character even smiled.

Sad state of affairs that the once mighty Jim Carrey has to go to Warsaw, Poland to get a lead role in a film.

Grade - F

Maybe he was trying to replicate Tom Hanks’ jump from comedy to drama in Apollo 13? But even that film had a couple zingers in it.

I tried to watch this when it came out. I think I never finished it, which almost never happens.

Funny, as it's been available on Redbox and every streaming service available...and I'd put good money down that 99% of those who paid for this, we're very upset with what they got.

There are some seriously funny moments when the 52/53 year old Jimbo throws out some lines in what seriously sounds like classic Ace Ventura sounding lines, while supposed to be a Polish, lowlife detective.

Unreal, seriously.  And, what really shocked me, was that many reviews actually mentioned Jim's solid acting.  RUBBISH!

I'll throw out a challenge - Anyone who sits through this movie in its entirety, stone cold sober I'll read and give alot of solid feedback on a short or your 1st 10 pages of a feature.

Looks ok from the trailer! Those who make trailers are actual lifesavers for box office $$$.
