This poped up on my FB and I thought it was pretty cool.

A paid Hollywood screenwriter creating a scene from scratch in 7 minutes based on some random criteria.

In the first few minutes she talks about wrylies. I know a few people might find it interesting.

I'm not saying take her advice, I'm not saying anything really. I just thought it was fun to watch.

I'm watching this and it's great!

Great to see her process for getting things on the page in a short time and how she worked backwards, and out of sequence.

I wonder if this is a regular thing. Will check it out at the end.

And she's so damn appealing too. :)

Thanks, Warren

P.S. Moved it to Screenwriting Class, lest it get lost. Hope you don't mind.

Not at all, I really didn’t know what to do with it. I was hoping a mod might sort it out  :P

Well that was pretty cool.  The writer's interaction is kinda priceless.  An interesting way to start a scene to.   Thanks for sharing.  Very much appreciated.-Andrea

Yeah, it's amazing to watch. Her process is really cool and there are some great tips. I wonder if they've done more videos like that. I’d like to see the approach of other writers, if they do things differently…

Thanks for sharing, Warren.

Oops no fade in lol

When I read ‘protein depository’ I have this weird idea that it’s a sperm bank  ;D  Or is it a yuppy name for a health food shop?

I fucking lolled so hard at her using parenthesis in a good, useful way and hearing every douche bag amateur who hates "wrylies" cringe

While surfing YouTube yesterday, I came across an interesting video from Vanity Fair of a Hollywood screenplay writer being challenged to write a scene in seven minutes with genre, theme, characters and a specific object. It's pretty entertaining though goes a bit long: https://eur04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2FzoM-tQOOcPw&data=02%7C01%7C%7C450b1184495d46f4acd708d6ce9e2739%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636923575983345007&sdata=u5KM0hLDkFXFOTi1wMyPkLIwo%2FILR5s7tMTs838grN0%3D&reserved=0

Not sure if anyone watched the video but was wondering if you can tell what software she's using for the challenge? It looks pretty sweet.

Lot of people have watched it, but they commented on the link I sent out, the one Sean put in your thread :p

It's Final Draft, and yes it is pretty sweet :)
