SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board / Screenwriting Class / The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations

In a moment of absolute writer's block I looked up dramatic life events to give me some kind of inspiration and I stumbled across this --
"The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations is a descriptive list which was created by Georges Polti to categorize every dramatic situation that might occur in a story or performance."
I imagine there are be more than 36 and I'm probably just late to this information, but I thought it was a great list and it definitely managed to get the creative juices flowing.

I haven't looked at this as I already have plenty of creative juice. However, it might come in handy in the future. Thanks for sharing and wanting to help out. Very decent of you.

Yes, I don’t see “Hyperdrive fails” or “Monster mistaken for dead” on the list ;D
