Hey Simply Scripters. Dena and I are shooting a drama next month currently titled Robocaller. We have decided that it needs a new title. It's about a lonely old man who strikes up a conversation with a robocalling telemarketer and the two share some traumatic stories and as a result bond and we are left hoping that they will become friends.

Please help us decide what would work best.

Thanks!  8)

Call On Me is a good title and sounds the most like a drama, in my opinion.

Tell A Marketer is a little jokey and Cold Call sound a little genre.

I second that.

I really like Cold Call, especially as a sales guy. I voted for it, but after walked away from my computer Call on Me really stuck out. Can I change my vote?

Call on Me, for the win.

I did actually "laugh out loud" at Tell A Marketer for what it's worth.

I think we know which one I lean towards, but casting my vote regardless.

Tell A Marketer is a great title but definitely rings comedy to me. Wonder if someone will nick it. Dave, you'd better crank out a short script if Pia doesn't use it or it might pop up in an OWC.  :D

Thanks all. Looks like 100% of the votes go to Call on Me. So, Call on Me it is!  8)

I don't get 'Call on Me'... why is that so good? Why is that the best title? I think if the only reason for a title is 'it sounds better' then more thought needs to be put in.

I like Cold Call better because it has some irony in it at least. A Cold Call that turns out to be a warm one.

'Tell A Marketer' I don't like, but not because it sounds like a comedy... definitely not laughing out loud here... but because it is trying too hard. Worse, it's trying too hard and failing. Tell A Marketer what? The story is about loneliness and bonding. That title doesn't cut it.

Out of the three, Cold Call gets my vote, purely because it is the only one that does something other than be just a title. Tell A Marketer also does that but it is trying too hard.

Call On Me, sounds too sentimental to me. I think Cold Call is much better because you don't know what to expect.
