All I can say is wow. Jon Favreau nailed it.

It looks and feels like the Star Wars universe, more than Rogue One or Solo ever did. The Mandalorian is a great mixture of badass bounty hunter and fallible "human" or whatever he actually is. There's so much character coming from a man of few words who wears a helmet the entire time, and it's compelling. The action is exciting, the visual effects not quite the same quality as the movies but top tier for television, it's gorgeously shot, and the sound is spectacular. I'm fully on board for this series.

Can't watch this until Disney+ launches in the UK in March  :(

I'm glad people are enjoying it though. As an avid Star Wars fan, I am excited to watch

Illegal streaming, my boy.

If they won't give you what you want, take it.

I enjoyed the first episode. They left one hell of a cliffhanger so I'm interested as to where this season goes. I'm pretty sure it's no coincidence that this show's finale is right before the release of The Last Skywalker. Something will tie in.

Some critics are complaining about the disconnect they feel because he never takes his helmet off. It doesn't bother me at all. I was a huge fan of Dredd (2012) and Karl Urban never once shows his face.

It's not quite as dark as I'd hoped for, but it maintains with the Star Wars cannon. Some slap-sticky stuff as he tries to learn to ride his two legged bull and very oddly filmed scene as he gets a piece of shoulder armor made.

My biggest gripe is the soundtrack. Some very cheesy attempts at western galactic music I guess, but I'm not digging it.

Anyway, I got Disney+ for the kids but I'll still be tuning in for this show. Boba Fett was always my favorite for no other reason as he had the coolest looking armor ever. The Mandalorian just looks bad ass.

I pay for 3 streaming services already. I'm not paying for another.

Screw Disney.

Ditto. Hopefully one day we will get to the streaming model of paying for only what you desire to watch rather than paying for who delivers it to you.

So, I caved. Call it a moment of weakness but I signed up for Disney+ last weekend. I justified it because I got rid of Hulu and HBO (I figured that I'd just get Watchmen on Vudu as a season instead of waiting impatiently each week for the next episode).

The verdict: For the price ($6.99/mo. in the States), a helluva deal for what you get. If I had known, I would never have bought all the BluRays and digital content through the years.

The Mandalorian: Who says that westerns don't sell?! He even sounds like Clint Eastwood in the early days. Being a big western fan, I love the crap out of this show! Best western I've seen in a coon's age.

The sad news: Disney, I think, has all but wiped their memory clean of animated shorts like Pecos Bill and movies like Song of the South. Just try and find any Disney production that may not be PC in this day and age. I can't find the original Casey Jones or John Henry either. I'm sure there are others....

Overall, you can't beat Disney+ for the price.

Curious, what shows that you can't find anywhere?

Can’t say I loved the second episode. It had such a low runtime at 30 minutes and it pretty much all felt like filler with no substance.

Hoping that ep 3 sends this back in the right direction.
