I like the script.  Well written and it kept my interest.  I'm a little uneasy with the ending.  Tara throughout the entire script is hell bent on staying in shape, and ignoring those who want her for who she is "now".  Tara's argument is that she is the same woman, regardless of how much she weighs.  Correct?  Stop looking at her like she is a "sex object", but as a woman, and only a "woman".  

The ending, James.  James is obviously someone who is infatuated with Tara.  Tara feels comfort from his words and his overall concern for her.  I don't believe James is after Tara for her body, but wants to see her succeed as a healthy, and happy woman.  I hope I am on the right page with this.  I don't think James wanted her sexually.  He was concerned more for Tara's well being.  Tara is so centered on how she looks, that she pushes everyone away from her that looks at her now as a "sex object".  She doesn't want that, obviously.  James, being the trainer and wanting to keep her healthy, in mind and body, tries to keep her on an even keel and to accept who she is regardless of weight, body, attraction, etc.  Tara finds comfort from James through his way of making her understand who she is mentally and not just physically.

I enjoyed this script.  I hope I understood your overall message.  Accept who you are and stop judging everyone who wants to know you not for how you look, but for who you really are.

I'm ashamed to say that I don't usually look at the "script of the day" but for some reason I clicked on something that led me to this "Short Script of the Day" for April 15, 2023.  I really don't believe in happenstance.

Nikki, I realize this is a few years old now and don't know if you follow this site anymore, but if so, I just want you to know how much I like this script.  Pretty deep emotion here from Tara.  A kind of "be careful what you wish for" tale.  A very talented writer once gave me this sage advice: "Write your pain".  I argued back that no one would want to read that, to which he replied, "To the contrary, that is where you will find your audience.  The ones who know the same pain."  I can't help but wonder if this was not where you were writing from with this script.  

Anyway, I hope you are still writing and creating lovely "from the heart" stories like this one.  Thanks for sharing this - even if pretty long ago now.
