I've got two days to complete my draft for a feature I've been working on, and I feel like I'm spending more time pacing in front of my computer than I am writing. Fuuuuck. Somebody, please, light a fire under my ass and help me stay motivated.

Just do what I did and skip all the bullshit you don't want to write. Lol.

Also, where did said arbitrary timeframe come from? =)

P.S. John Denver. Trust me. Get that playlist going and you're good to go.

How will your characters feel if you just leave them without finishing the script? They just sit there in limbo, waiting for their story to end. Only, it never will, because God has decided to procrastinate. Do it for the characters. They deserve better than this.

Got the next couple of days off and I've promised myself that I will finish my draft by the 12th.

The characters would very much prefer that I stay away from the script. Lol

Just fucking do it, Zack!  Seriously.  Start right now and keep going until you need a new Slug.  Get up, drink, smoke, party - no more than 15 minutes - go back do it again.

I'm barreling ahead, Dude. ;D

If anyone has any cool tunes they like to listen to when they write, share them here. Wanna add more to my playlist. :)

Stop coming back here and procrastinating, get writing!

Get a pot of coffee on (or whatever beverage helps you concentrate) plugin some tunes and WORK!

You better get this done or I'll send the boys around to stick a baseball bat up your nightdress.

I usually live the same problem. :) To get rid of this, I prefer to listen the songs of my childhood. They can increase my motivation. Or watching historical videos (not movie or documentary. historical places and people) from youtube can help me.

Sorry for my bad English :)

How's it going, Zack?

I'm sort of under the same deadline, but for a different reason. I had planned on finishing this past weekend, but we had a BAD weather event Thursday night, so yard work was what my weekend consisted of. This is my first feature this year, so super important mentally for me.

Keep going!  :)

Zack!  Where you at?  You better be writing and there better be some serious progress!!!!

You get me?

Well some people start a script, set a deadline and finish it by that date. You know there are people like that out there. So you are probably not one of them, so what... just admit to yourself you’re not them and go on with your life.

Or you can finish your script.

Well, instead of doing what I promised I would and finishing this script, my girlfriend and I both caught the flu. Spent the last few days practically dying. Probably should have went to the emergency room, but I hate hospitals and I'm super fuckin' stubborn about it. ;D;D;D

Anyways, we're both feeling much better today, so I'm jumping back into this feature. I will defeat this beast! ;D

You actually managed to write something? I was shaking and sweating in my bed like a diseased crackhead for the past few days. Couldn't bring myself to even look at my monitor. Lol

You're a beast, Dude.  ;D

Not to interrupt your celebration (congrats, btw!) but your original post said you had two days to finish this and, well, here we are 12 days later. Curious as to how that all worked out.

It was just a personal deadline I had set for myself. A bout with the flu completely derailed me. But, it wasn't strong enough to stop me from finishing the script, even though it did delay me.  ;D ;D ;D
