So, I read an older version of this from a few weeks ago. It's funny, I liked the payoff. I do think the timing is just a tad off, though, with the punchline.

SPOILER ALERT

Maybe have Steven's mother lead into that dialogue -- "Steven, there’s someone across the street watching us with binoculars." Just something small like, "Steven, it's your mother again..." with a worried voice. And then maybe Steven senses something wrong... "What's wrong? Is everything okay?" Then you can have her say, "Someone across the street's been spying on me and your father". Or something to that effect, of course something a little better thought out than what I wrote.

Yep, and thank you for reading! This is a revised draft with the punchline delivered much better. Thanks to everyone's imput. I sent it off to the filmmaker that wanted a comedy to shoot while in self quarantine. I sent it to him and he said he liked it, but I didn't hear anything more, so I figured I might as well put it up here.  :)

A few typos I spotted, but nothing major.

The end, while funny, did seem a bit too convenient to me. Still, it works for a short.

He asked for a comedy, current situation, , 3-4 pages that he could shoot while in isolation with two friends of his also in isolation, but different locations. This was the best I could come up with and still keep it family friendly, sort of. ;D
