So, this is the trailer to my latest feature film, "Rage" -- I didn't come up with the title, I was hired to write it. But it actually turned out really well, better than my 1st feature. And that one turned out pretty good, getting the limited theatrical release, Netflix, VOD treatment.

As for "Rage", I'm sure once distribution is picked up, they'll have a better trailer (the trailer to the last movie ended up being light years better than the one we had before it picked up distro). It's a 143 minute crime-thriller. And though it's still a genre piece, the content is a little more "mature" than what I usually write. I had to expand my repertoire a little bit, but it turned out really, really well. Was hoping for another theatrical release, but who knows what's going to happen with all this craziness. Hoping to get at least a good streaming deal. Will keep you posted once all the behind-the-scenes stuff is settled.

Currently working on the next project with the same director/producers.

Congratulations. Michael!

Things really seem to get amped up in the latter half here - looking forward to seeing it.

Michael, wow!  Just wow. The trailer looks really good.  Can't wait to see it.  Hopefully sooner rather than later.  I dunno - I kinda like the title. Congrats. :)A

The title's fine I guess, but there's other movies with the same title, the most recent one from only a few years ago starring Nic Cage.

As for the actual film, I watched it like 8 times and goes by pretty quickly for a 2 hr 23 minute film. It's really, really, really good. Never thought I could write something like it. The subject matter is dark, which is what I usually write, but the movie is so... mature I guess I wanna say? It's like a serious film for adults (and I don't mean porn, though the movie does have it's share of nudity and sex). It definitely gives me the confidence to tackle more screenplays like this, though I still consider myself a genre writer.

It is getting traction, I guess the producers are weighing their options -- they did want a theater release but they're not going to shelf the movie and wait out this whole quarantine thing. If anything, getting a streaming deal would probably get more eyes on it, especially in this stay-at-home climate.

Aha! Michael, looks like another Aussie production with a decent cast. I thought I noticed Tottie Goldsmith in there and yep, her name is right there on the credits. Little bit of trivia: Tottie's been around for a while, a singer and actress in her own right, and... her Aunt is Olivia Newton John.

Congrats!

Thanks David, Fais, LC and everybody else!

RE: LC -- Yes, Tottie Goldsmith is a legend. So is Richard Norton, who's also in the movie -- he was always in martial arts movies, playing the bad guy in Chuck Norris flicks (he and Chuck are besties) and the China O'Brien movies starring Cynthia Rothrock. He's also a stunt and fight coordinator, doing the stunt coordinating for Suicide Squad and a bunch of other flicks. Turns out the man can actually act very well, it was great seeing him and Tottie in scenes together. I'm working on the next film project with the same director/producers, hopefully Richard will return to work with us again.

The movie all around is awesome -- if it was shit, I wouldn't be singing its praises. Can't wait for people to actually see it!

Congrats, Mike! If this is as good as Suicide Theory then you’ve got another winner on your hands, bud.

Michael, as a fan of Suicide Theory I’m looking forward to this. I do hope they cut a better trailer, though. As it is, I have zero idea what’s going on here. It’s like they tried to show everything in two minutes when all you really need to do is drop one big hook. I’m sure it’s great, though. Production values look top notch!

Bad time to hope for a theatrical release but because of the way things are this might do much better than projected on VOD platforms. I don’t think people will be running back to the theaters any time soon.

Best of luck, keep us posted on when it’ll be available.

James.

Thanks James and Steven!

Yeah, think they wanted to just give a teaser here with the trailer while showcasing the original score this time around -- it's the 3rd trailer they've cut together.

Distribution will definitely cut a polished trailer as their marketing tool. The Suicide Theory official trailer was much better than what the ones the director put together -- it just feels more polished, especially with the MPAA rating thing at the beginning, etc. I'm sure the "Rage" trailer will be sweet.

The first trailer actually gives people a better idea of what the story is, though it was a little long for a trailer. Not sure why it says, "Teaser".
