Hi everyone,

Could I please ask if anyone has any advice on pitching a SF series to one of the big names? (5 series, 10 episodes per series)

Me and my writing partner have everything necessary (We've done exhaustive checking regarding this), so logline, treatment and synopsis, story bible, the pilot script written (I know this is not always necessary), a breakdown of each episode in series one, and short treatment for series 2 to 5.

I've been researching like crazy but so much is conflicting advice, for example you must have an agent or agents are toxic right now, don't go near one.

We have a query letter also, ready to go. Please, if anyone has some help they can give me. I'm really nervous because if we do it wrong then we will be throwing away any chance I have of getting this considered.

What is it you are after? A review of the documents or advice in general?

From what I've heard from people who have successfully pitched tv series and based on my own limited experience of pitching, you pitch to a production company first and if they like it, they package it up and then pitch it to networks and SVODs. You don't need an agent or manager as such (although it helps) but you do need a reputable production company.
