;D Haha. You funny, John.

Thanks, Don!

And... A big shout out to you guys (and girls?) for getting entries in. Great job, really. Tough challenge.

Everyone got Don's PM I assume...
So, feedback on all entries from all contestants and anyone else who wants to weigh in with constructive opinions.

Easy. Take your time, you don't have to go big on reviews (if you don't want to) but you can if you choose.

Dammit. I missed the deadline for submission?? I thought it was today!! (Sunday here in Scotland).

Ach well. :-(

Just read the rules again. My bad. I thought it scripts had to be submitted the same day as my sister's birthday. I was wrong.
Eejit.

If you've got one written, Owen, send it to Don.

Considering the lowish turnout he might let you over the line. Worth a try.

Thanks LC. It's good to go. I'll send it on but considering there are scripts already submitted it might be too easy to guess which one would be mine.

This is the smallest OWC I've ever seen in my years here. I did read that a lot of the regulars have personal issues going on in their lives right now, but I'm still surprised to only see nine.

And where's Jeff? I see his account is currently de-activated. I thought he would be all over this one.

Yep, but it's still an OWC!

Tough times lately, you're right, James. Hopefully things will pick up.

And it's a pretty tough challenge this one. Not easy to write a Short Erotic Thriller well, so I'm pretty chuffed to see all the brave souls who gave it a go, and I'm enjoying what I've read so far. :)

You know, I probably have at least ten scripts I've started for OWC's and never finished, including this one! Wrote three-ish pages, then got caught up in whatever. Dammit! I liked where it was going too. Oh well...

James this is due in large part to me.  I did not advertise the challenge as much as I usually do having been caught up in non-site related issues mostly involved me not dying.  I've clearly done a dis-service to LC who did a lot of work for this challenge.

Don, sorry to hear of your trials, hope all is well now?

Don't think it's yours or Libby's fault though, combination of things for some of the regulars and a genre that many seem to find a little outside of their comfort zone (it's well out of mine).

On the plus side, it's made it easier to read them all ;-)

All good, Don. No gripes here.
This place doesn't exist without you and all the hard work you do for us, so please don't be dropping off the peg anytime soon. I hope you're okay.

Well done to all those who took on the challenge, some interesting scripts in there even if some are nowhere near a thriller lol

Speaking of erotic thrillers and bringing those back. This was posted in today's Inktip newsletter.

7) Seeking Completed Feature-Length Erotic Thrillers (Preferred Lead 6480)
We are looking for completed, feature-length erotic thrillers. Please do not submit scripts with excessive nudity or outright pornography. Scripts in the vein of "Basic Instinct" are more the tone of what we are looking for.

Budget is yet to be determined. Both WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.

I saw that one too Pia... coincidence or is everyone looking for Erotic Thrillers these days?
Posted by: LC, March 4th, 2021, 9:37pm; Reply: 18
Aha! Thanks for the hot tip, Pia.

Appears maybe Blondie was onto something. Everything goes in circles.

Thanks everyone who entered this highly entertaining challenge.
Hope you're getting your votes in.

Voted. Definitely one clear winner, for me. Sadly, not me. Always a bridesmaid...I might even be the flower girl for this challenge.

To me, there's one clear winner as it follows the OWC theme and is really well written. Though I have two other favorites that don't even come close to following the theme lol.

I voted. I will admit I was looking forward to that one script that took the erotic part way too far. Sadly, it wasn’t there.

James.

I thought the same for sure too, James!

Nobody went over the top at all.  :K) If anything it was all very modest.

* Last day to get your votes in guys and gals.

Forgot to add - if anyone's interested in a Guess Who Wrote What?

But I'll need to know from Don everyone's voted first, so will hold off on it for the moment...

Yes, one clear winner for me as well. Excellent challenge, Libby!

Voted yesterday. Interesting challenge and some good scripts. It was surprising to read what others interpreted as erotic.

I put my votes in yesterday as well, not sure any of them hit the thriller/erotica theme %100 (I certainly didn’t), but there were a few that came closer than others, so I most likely gave them better over all ratings.

Good thing I got my reading and reviews in early on in the week, we’ve had some unusually mild weather ‘round here lately, so I’ve been playing in the yard all the live-long-day, pretty much just moving snow from the shade into the sun, setting up outdoor furniture, etc.

… and the pičce de resistance… a hot tub that was on back order till next November (cause of Covid, and every Tom, Dick, and his Dog buying tubs) was suddenly available cause of a cancellation, and we either take it now, like right now, or go back on a waiting list… so yeah, we had it delivered.

But now I have to find an electrician, 60 feet of big-ass 50 amp outdoor wire, and a 50 amp GFI outdoor breaker box, but cause of Covid, and every Tom, Dick, and his Dog buying tubs… there’s none to be found anywhere. So, a friend of a friend who’s an (electrical) apprentice for another friend finds the wire through a distributer, then another friend miraculously finds the breaker panel I need at a hardware store cause someone accidentally buried the last one in stock (in the city) on the shelf behind another box, and now we’re in business, phew!

So, yeah, longed winded way of saying I’m amazed I found time for this OWC this time around, but I’m glad I did… it was a really awesome challenge. A huge thanks to Libby, Don, and Sean for all they do, cheers!

Wow, Rick. I was struck by your comment:
...moving snow from the shade into the sun...

I've only ever seen snow once in my life. Of course global warming might change that
Australia might be so hot it's uninhabitable in the future. That said this Summer just past was a dud, the wettest and coldest in about a decade - just a couple of heatwaves sprinkled throughout. Still, a welcome reprieve from the drought and deadly fires of last year.

Okay, enough of the weather report.

I'm putting up a Guess Who Wrote What.

Only for those who've actually read and reviewed.

We are yet to receive a few ballots.
You know who you are. Come on guys, get 'em in please, for those on tenterhooks and hanging out for results.
