Haha! Very good, Dave, thanks for the laughs.

I'm still enjoying the real thing though.
Despite the fact the writer decided to have the titular character do something unbelievably stupid in the second Ep, all as a plot device, I'm guessing - to get her removed from the case.

Set her character up as smart, then dumb her down?
Oh well, we'll see what she does next.

Yeah, we're watching. Entertaining enough. There are a lot worst things on.

Super funny sketch, just watched it.

I think I'm 4 episodes in now and I'm really enjoying it.

Kept an eye out for this...

Okay, my mistake. I think it's the third Ep.

SPOILERS

The drugs. Mare takes them from the Evidence room.
Plants them on her (dead) son's GF to keep the kid.

Told to take leave & she's off the case.
She ignores that, of course.

“Female detective/reporter with traumatic background returns to her hometown to investigate a mystery and has lots of personal trouble” is such a weirdly specific cliche that has arisen in the last ten years. Top Of The Lake and Sharp Objects were its peak.

I've got one episode to go and loving this so far, the spoof was funny. I think they should have added, "This program might just be sponsored by Rolling Rock beer."
