Hello.
My first post and my de fault level confusion has ascended to new heights as I try and fathom how to get my award winning screenplay "the fifth ape" (A beautiful mind meets Raiders of the Lost Carp, I mean Ark)  onto the desk of anyone or anything at Universal studios. My first attempt triggered alarm bells and flashing lights and a message "Unsolicited scripts will be annihilated, reconstructed and then destroyed again with a flame thrower" or words to that effect.
Any suggestions other than seek proffesional pysche help much appreciated ..

Regards
William

Might be hard to get someone at Universal to read your script, but if the script really is an award winner, you might have better luck sending queries to an agent or manager since most studios will only accept scripts from those rather than unknown writers. :)

Very funny post, William. And welcome to SS!

How you got that far, even getting a response is amazing.
Anyway, keep trying. Enter other comps, network, and...
Basically what Pia said.

We're all in the same boat.

P.S. Post your script here, including its accolades.

You can get great feedback on SS, and Producers regularly search for scripts.

I’d say pay no attention to the “we do not accept unsolicited material.” If it’s an amazing script, concept, whatever, they will want to read it. Check out queries to smaller studios first, query ones that have produced similar films. If you’re on IMDb pro then you should find a ton of companies. Query them all.

Would love to see a a sample of your query letter.
