I knew I would hate this going into it but I thought it might have been one of those so-bad-it's-good films... it is not.

SPOILERS... But let's be honest, you cant spoil a piece of shit like this.

Basically a bunch of self-righteous, self-important, preachy LGBT kids go to a conversation camp and then spend half the movie complaining about how terrible their lives are. Only one of them get killed off which is insane, it's meant to be a slasher... I think it would have been too PC for too many more to get killed.

While the killer is an ex-camp attendee (who they try as hard as possible to get you to sympathize with), the obvious bad guys are all those evil straight white people... yuck!

I do feel they missed a great title opportunity here with Final Theys as opposed to Final Girls.

Oh and there is a musical number in the middle of the film... fuck me.

It's this kind of politically correct, woke garbage that is destroying movies today. Who is this even made for?

You know it's bad when even the 'certified' critics at Rotten Tomatoes can't defend it.

Kevin Bacon is in this as well which just left me shaking my head.

Avoid at all costs.

Even though my politics are more aligned with the movie than Warren, I gotta say it still sucked.

It was boring and didn’t commit to it’s concept. The kids dialogue reads like it was written by forty-somethings and then run through a Gen Z translator

This one keeps popping up wherever I go on the Internet it seems like. It doesn't sound like it's something for me, so I'll keep away for now. Thanks!

As far as extreme views of any kind go, I don't have a problem with it as long as there's a counter view represented as well. In Contact for example, there was the greatest argument between science vs God/religion. Without that counter argument, regardless of subject matter, the films will only come across as beating us over the head with the filmmakers' POV.

Totally agree. I will definitely avoid this one.

So you're saying that They/Them is a Nope/Nada?

I wasn't going to watch it anyway. It looked too in-your-face with whatever message they're selling.

What ever happened to subtlety in storytelling?
