Hi, i recently came in contact with an actress on Instagram and said i wanted to collaborate with her, i could send her my script and she said yes, how can i send it? Just the first pages and the plot? I mean i wanna be careful who i send my draft to. What other things should or should not do when talking to someone about my draft? Thank you so much.

Hi. Personally, I’d send her the first ten and see if it caught her eye. I made the mistake once of sending a full script to some filmmaker/writer who said he had connections and never got back to me or responded to my dm’s afterward, so lesson learned. You never know what you’re gonna get. Proper vetting is required, and there’s a lot of red flags you should watch out for.

That said, you’re never going to get anywhere unless you send your script out into the world and before eyes. That’s the game. Just gotta be very careful who you send it to.

I dunno....

If you asked if you could send her the script, and she says yes, seems to me you should send her the script.

I understand Steve's concern. But I'm assuming you already vetted her since you were the one that reached out in the first place.
