I can see your original title was "Weissnacht", is this based on the SCP?

Anyway, this was fairly well-written, at least in terms of technical writing. There's certainly a lot of build up here, and some of it's really overwritten. If you want to rewrite, I'd go back and see how much of then "then we see this..." you can cut?
