Okay.  I've read it four times and I think I may understand.  Tell me if I get it right or wrong.  Are we looking at the stages of a relationship until one ends and another begins?

I took it to mean she got it right second time around.

But then that doesn't go with the Logline, so maybe Steven's more on the money.

You are mostly correct.
Except that she realized that her him leaving the seat up wasn't that big a deal when she started to miss him.
So, they got back together and she learned to live with it.
