I volunteer at a small historical society in Ohio and volunteered to be on their video production committee to create short engaging YouTube movies. Turned out to be harder than i thought and quickly realized you have to have a good story/script for people to work with. So i joined SimplyScripts to learn more about screenwriting and how it's done by reading as many unproduced scripts as i have time to read and study the art of screen story-telling. Been an eye-opening experience.

I've finally finished a couple of scripts and was able to affordably produce them by using the new D-ID creative reality studio platform. In which all the "actors" used in my videos are what they call "synths" or computer generated humans with computer generated voices or they will animate the old photographs in our collection. The limitation is that right now they are basically only talking heads. Furthermore, they included Chat GPT 3.0 in the software and it basically can write the scripts for the synths to speak if you give it prompts for a story idea. I did not use it but played around with it and it created some passable dialog in my opinion.
I'm looking for some feedback on my first two attempts at screenwriting and production of the final movies. See links below:

The technology looks really interesting, good effort on the two you've produced so far.

Knowing that the current limitations are talking heads then I'd focus your screenwriting efforts on harnessing that and looking for opportunities to leverage that... for example in the Tales form the Vault section why not have the old photo's interact with the synth narrator, argumentative comedy style.

My other hobby is metal detecting so love the history angle too.

Good luck with future efforts, have subscribed on YT and will keep an eye open.

Thanks for looking at them and giving some feedback and the suggestion about have the old photos interact with the synth narrator in an argumentative comedic style. However, I will have to really study and work on comedy writing as that has not been something i've ever tried before and never was much of a good joke teller.
