Hello all. I know the mafia probably has a stigma where many people think it will be a dead end in Hollywood. I like the genre though and I want to try something different.
I feel like I have an idea to start with.
Collaborating with another writer is hard. I think it is harder than people think.
I have two reasons for looking for a partner.
One, I have experience within the world where my idea takes place but I don't have more mafia knowledge than the next person (other than watching all of the movies everybody else watches, etc) so anybody who is more of a student of that genre would be great.

Secondly, I am more motivated to write when there is somebody counting on me. It diminishes my procrastinating tendencies and helps me get more done. Just being honest.

Now when I say mafia/comedy, what I mean by that is that I want to keep the movie at least as close to realism as possible, in other words, not a spoof or farce. It's just that the outrageous lifestyle that these guys live is funny to regular people like you and me.

Think something along the lines of the TV comedy series Superstore, meets wise guy culture.

Anyway, thanks for reading and if you have any interest send me a note and we can talk about it.

I do want to see this through, this is not something I am going to quit on if it gets complicated. And the only expectation I have is to meet good people and have fun developing a story.

Thanks
Bill
