For those in the know and the real reason that I posted this thread, the link below shows an unusual American response. The thread this link goes to is bizarre.
mcornetto, I have seen this site a few times and it makes me laugh. I am sure despite what they say that it is nothing more than a piss take. A very funny one at that. If indeed it were serious it would be very scary.
I wonder if Gordon Brown is going to apologize to the people of Ireland next? Or the USA, or India, or Pakistan, or Iraq, or Australia etc.. etc...
George Bush has only got less than 12 months in office left, he needs to be quick if he is going to start too!
(P.S. When i mentioned Iraq I was of course referring to the 'old days' if Imperialism and not the more recent troubles. Thought I had better clarify that before I get accused of being an unpatriotic, un-American, lefty lovin', cheese eating surrender monkey!)
It was a great speech by our PM. I was listening to it on the radio as I drove into work. I tried to listen to the response from the opposition but tuned out half way through and turned it off.
I can't believe some people are still moaning about the fact that this apology could open the flood gates for compensation claims. If that's the case then so be it. You can't on one hand accept responsibility and then not back it up with action. And what about that right wing loon Andrew Bolt? He's still trying to say that the stolen generation doesn't exist and that those who say it did can't come up with ten names of people who were part of it. I know activists who have sent him lists with thousands of names on it.
As for those racist morons on the US link, I’d love to see the look on their faces if Barak Obama becomes President.
