Dressell suggested in his review of my Blueprint for Life thread that perhaps the name of my main character should be different.

His description, as in my second draft:

Quoted Text

AARON OLIS "48", a gritty ex-CIA agent with a thinning
mullet who looks 35, feels 60, yet acts 18,

The 48 was in parenthesis, but the website turns that into a smiley face, so ignore that.

Now, this whole story is going under the knife, and I have this name thing stuck in my head and would like folks to just throw out ideas for what you think would fill in that description better than Aaron Olis.

Thank you.

I like ya' Steve, but this is a very silly thread.

Name my character?  Please.  You are writing a script, man!  Put on your thinking cap.

Or browse the phone book or something.

And nobody else start a thread like this.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

I have run through 3,495 names over the past two weeks . . .and that may be a conservative number.  I am leaning towards one in particular, but like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, I am looking for the input of my peers to gain more depth in my selection.

I'm glad you like me, Bert.  I like you too.

Not for me, but then I did not intend it in an improper way.

Ah, a guy with one name.  Like Hansel, from Zoolander?

Steven,

I wasn't kidding.

48, age unknown, a gritty ex-CIA agent with a thinning
mullet who looks 35, feels 60, yet acts 18.

Hmm.  Like Agent 48?  He'd only be half the agent Agent 96 was.    48.  Interesting.

Psht! - See what happens when you post after being up all night.  Can't even make a good Get Smart joke.  Doh!

Delbert Winston Nettle IV, Esquire?

DELBERT WINSTON NETTLE IV, ESQUIRE, 48, a gritty ex-CIA agent with a thinning mullet who looks 35, feels 60, yet acts 18,…

I think it has a nice ring to it.

I know the entire community has been on the edge of their seat over this, so I wanted to tell you that a final decision has been made.

Aaron will remain Aaron, and I've changed the name of the antagonist instead.

I thank you all for your input.

The End
