I've noticed that my version of Final Draft is no longer saving my scripts the way they're supposed to. Last night, I saved a script at 110 pages. Today, it opened at 118 pages. It now contains things that I deleted/changed in previous drafts.
If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it. The FD chat room is temporarily shut down.

Might be like a revision problem. I'd make sure that Revision Mode is turned off as I always found it next to useless. It's better just to save different draft with slightly different names.
Only other thing that comes to mind is possibly the margins in Page Layout. If these were altered for a script that length it would easily account for those extra pages.
Does it appear as if FD has spread your script evenly over all of the 118 pages? |

It looks like many of the things that I took out were put back in. I'm not familiar with revision mode. And I've said each version of the script under different names: title v1, title v2, title v3, etc.

If Revision mode is not ticked in the Production mode then it's off.
Try taking some of the reappeared stuff back out, save it, close it, then reopen it. If they stay gone then it should solve your problem, for now at least. |

I just finished with tech support. It thinks that the file was corrupted at some point. Each new version of the file, that I saved, saved the orruption and wouldn't save all my changes.
I ended up saving my script as a txt file and then save that as a script.
We'll see if this works.
Thanks for your suggestions, though.

FD is nothing but errors. Now my copy won't let me save PDF's with title pages. |

Oh dear. You do have the Title Page box ticked in Tools / Options under the Document tab don't you? |

I don't see these options on my laptop version of FD7. I remember someone saying you need to have the title page open when you save and it saves under the FDR file but not the PDF. |

I could post my own print screen and it would show I do not have that option.
Maybe I will have to reinstall the windows copy on my PC cause the MAC version doesn't seem to have that title page option. |

Just do all yourselves a big favor and scrap FD and get Movie Magic Screenwriter. It's awesome! No problems, ever. Smooth, easy sailing... |

Final Draft 8 is pretty flawless... I use Movie Outline for 90% of my stuff now, but I find FD8 to be one of the best applications I've ever used. I can still give you all sophocles if you'd like. To me that's as perfect as it gets.
Hell, I can give you FD8 too.
Just saying... |

Sniper, your picture worked for my desktop version of FD. I don't think the MAC gives that option. |
