Why should he stop posting these? When people post stuff like this, I get my news. I didn't know about a Smurfs movie until now, and now I'm happy to learn about it! I love the Smurfs, and I can't wait to see it!
This (as well as his other bits of movie news) are not rumors. They're confirmed pieces of news. A rumors boards should consist of rumors (ie: who will play Wonder Woman, or what the latest on the Watchmen movie).
If what you're posting here is confirmed, then you might as well post things like who's playing Neo in Matrix: Revolution.
Is there a movie "confirmed news" board? Besides, most of his posts are movies in production that could go down the tubes as soon as they're green-lighted. I'm all for the posts, but perhaps you could recommend a better place for them...
Maybe Don should redefine this board as upcoming movie news and Rumor or something to that effect. Theres a thin line between the two and maybe this would solve the problem that one person is having.

Though earth and man are gone, I thought the cube would last forever. I WAS WRONG.
Yeah. Unless you have a suggestion for another place to put something, please don't be negative. Speaking of which, there should be a "Comings And Goings" thread because I was gonna leave and then my farewell message got deleted, so now I'm stuck here. Deleting farewell messages is as cruel as TheProducer's name is a tease: very. People come here with dreams in their eyes which require producers, so this is one of the places where we search, and then someone calls himself TheProducer but doesn't go taking scripts from the site and producing them. Bah humbug. Isn't that an infringement on rule #10. Anyway, where do you suggest I post this rant?
I heard about it on AOTS from The Feed and well I can't say I care... It's a childrens movie, so other than that I could care less about blue teletubbies with weird white hoods.
This movie has rarely ever been used for rumours so what's with the problem now, 2 years later?
A 3D animated CG Smurfs trilogy might be cool if it has a decent storyline, and hopefully it will keep its ORIGINAL audience in mind and not dumb it down too far. After all, most of the people who will come to see this movie will probably be late 20's and early 30's - those who watched it when it was on TV. I'm not a huge fan of kids' movies with dumb animals and sweet, deux ex machina endings.
I used to get up on Saturdays to watch it. I just read the listing on http://www.tv.com, and it turns out each episode of The Smurfs was thirty minutes long. I have a memory of being a kid who was fascinated with the show after my mom said it was "An hour and a half looooong." So whenever I watched it, I was amazed that an hour and a half could go by so quickly, but now that I find out that it was only a half-hour long, I begin to think that the comment which made me fascinated about the show was intended to have the opposite effect. How ironic.
