I enjoyed the first one as well and have been looking forward to this sequel which brings back Viktor who died, right?

But that aside it sounds good cause Scott Speedman I believe was the ultimate cross bread at the end or whatever technical term they had for it.

Werewolf/Vampire hybrid? I loved Bill Nighy as Viktor and I'm glad he's in the sequel, even if its just in flashbacks. I always wanted to see the actual relationship between Selene and Viktor before he went to "sleep."

My God. Kate Beckinsale is just smoking hotness... It's nice to see her back in tight PVC (or whatever she's wearing).

Despite the kicking Underworld got, in some quarters, for it's failings, I did really enjoy it and am very much looking forward to this. I wonder if they'll eventually go ahead with the planned second sequel/prequel?

They really don't mention Scott Speedman who seemed to be the ultimate weapon and that is dumb because he's the focus not this girl who dates the director.

It looks like they went for something big here and forgot about the story they set up in the first one.

Maybe I missed something in it and hopefully that is the case.

To me, the first one was nothing special.  I suppose that for the most part, I enjoyed it.  But I felt there where a few missed oppurtunities.  My biggest complaint was that the vampires could have easily been replaced with humans with big guns, and the movie would have been the same.

Natrually, I did not have too high hopes for the sequel.

Well, I have to say that this new one looks pretty kickass.  The action looks pretty cool, I like the psuedo-Medievil setting, and I really dig how some of the make-up (especially on that big beastly thing that flies) looks very practical, and not all C.G.I.  This one just went up a few notches in my too-watch-for list, and if this trailer is any indication, I will probably be enjoying this more than its prequel.

She didn't just date the director, Beckinsale married him. And I hope Michael isn't just along for the ride and he has some purpose in the movie. His fight in Underworld was kickass, I want to see more of him fighting.

Does anyone know the music to the trailer? It was on the first movie's trailer but they didn't put it on the soundtrack. I'm all excited for this movie, it's starting to look awesome. I have to say, though, the story was going in a completely different direction than I thought it was going to go in. Another new race? Didn't we deal with that in the last film? But the winged things look awesome anyway. Still going to see it.

The song is "Red Tape" from Agent Provocateur.  It was on the composed soundtrack for the first movie as well as the preview for the Bruce Willis film, "The Jackal."  Catchy little ditty, eh?

I bought the other soundtrack, not the composed one. Thanks!

Sony Pictures just updated the website finally (it's not just that intro) with pretty much the same pictures but some new ones and you can watch the trailer for the thousandth time on that site if you want.

Sony updated the website A LOT! 7 pages of production stills and the largest gallery of Kate Beckinsale I've ever seen. I did notice, however, that Wiseman sure put Selene on a pedastal. Notice the 15+ pictures of Beckinsale plus 7 wallpapers and IM icons to Speedman's 5 pictures, 1 wallpaper, and 1 icon. Pity, though, because Michael is "smokin' hottness" to me.

I read an article in Fangoria, and pretty much the same article in SciFi magazine, with an interview with Wiseman, Beckinsale and Speedman. Wiseman explained how the first one had a lot of rain while #2 is around snow; the first one being in cramped Budapest and the second being outdoors with Selene and Michael on the run. Plus, I think there's going to be a lot more gore, too for those gore-fans.

I really hope Wiseman can pull this one off. I can already tell with those production stills that he splurged a little with his bigger budget.
