I don't know about a Shrek 3 to be honest.

The first one was EXCELLENT and I totally loved it. It's one of my all time favourite DVD's

The second one wasn't that great. While it was nice to see the characters again, it felt forced and just ho-hum in comparison to the original. The DVD was just average, so I got rid of it. No real loss as far as I'm concerned.

As for a part 3... I just think it's OTT - too much, too soon. I think they should wait at least 3 years to build up excitement for it and see where they went wrong with number 2, so they can avoid repeating the mistakes again.

Sequels are always a great thing.  It's like a television series that didn't get cancelled.  As far as I'm concerned they should make a new one each time they come up with a new story for the characters.

DreamWorks Animation has given the third "Shrek" installment a title - Shrek the Third.

I'm surprised you didn't like the second Andy, i thought it was just as good as the first, if not better.

I thought that the second one was the same as the first. They both had good stories...but the first one was...the first one, so that made it special. The second one is just like most sequel's...its good...but not THAT good.

I thought, as far as animation and art goes, that these films were AWESOME! Everything is so well done! And it isn't that much of a 'kiddy movie' like some animated movies.

Nah, really not a big fan of the sequel. It's okay, just wasn't up to par with the first film, in my opinion. Didn't like the king or queen characters, puss in boots was annoying ... except for when he had his big eyes scene and looked cute and innocent, lol. The actual Prince Charming character and his mum were.... eh

But, Donkey rocked, as always and Shrek and his missus were good too.

Personally, I am waaaaaaaaaaay more excited about Ice Age 2, as I think Ice Age's humour is more up my alley! Love that cute little fella, who chases after his nuts the whole time

I enjoyed ICE AGE a lot also.  I hope they have the running gag about the nut-chase again.  In fact, no matter how many ICE AGE sequels they make, all of them had better contain the nut-chase, or ... or else.

The makers of SHREK also did a short-lived TV series called FATHER OF THE PRIDE.  T'was hilarious, and there was an episode in which Donkey from SHREK was a guest-star -- Donkey was great in that one.

The Shrek films can be reviewed here. This is kind of wondering off topic.

I'm excited about this film. I'm a big fan of Shrek and Shrek 2. I'm nervous about Justin Timberlake though. I'm not sure he was exactly the right person for Shrek the Third, but we shall wait and see.

Cheers, Chism.

justin Timberlake did a good job voicing for simpsons, "word". I'm just happy to see (or hear) Mike Myers again. He's been away too long. Looking very much forward to his keith moon movie.

I love a good biographical movie, i read a rumour about someone doing a Brian Epstien movie on Rollingstone but it just disappeared. Probably by order of ringo or paul, they don't like movies containing themselves. Just think of that Birth of the Beatles one.

Anyway, i'll see Shrek 3 but i'll most probably wait till its out on dvd.
