Fangoria reports that Sony Pictures' Hollow Man 2 began shooting in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, with Christian (Heathers) Slater, Laura Regan (They, My Little Eye) and William (Slither) MacDonald toplining. Slater stars as a volunteer soldier/assassin who goes mad after he turns invisible. But unlike in the first film directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Kevin Bacon, the latest Hollow Man faces an invisible protagonist this time, a cop trying to protect the story’s heroine (Regan). A theatrical release will be considered after the film wraps.

I am not a Christian Slater fan. I mean, he was good in Murder in the First, but apart from that, never really taken a shine to him. I can't even put my finger on it! Heathers was great, but him... he lacks something...

I can't imagine this movie will be any good without Kevin Bacon in it

Vancouver, eh?

I guess I should go check the strip clubs to see if I can spot Slater.

ZING!

Honestly though, they film so much stuff around here it's crazy. I did'nt mind the first Hollow Man, so it will be interesting to see what becomes of the 2nd one.

Ha-ha, they always bring the films up here to Canada.

But Andy he's invisible so you won't really see him, it'll be a CGI actor for the most part so you may enjoy the film.

Calling it Hollow Man 2 is stupid and having a second invisible guy is even worse but like the first one they'll probably find some big chested bimbo to take off her top and they can sell the film that way.

God this idea just sounds like shit... What in the fuck is Hollywood thinking? Give me the money it took to make this pile of trash and I'll make a good movie... Hearts crossed and all that stuff... and if I don't then I'll make a movie about me drilling thru my finger nails with a cordless drill for everyone to see.

Anyways, back on topic, The idea just sounds like a bad idea... people fall in love with bad idea's all the time, though. So it is common place to love shitty movies. I think making a second invisible guy is absurd. It's gonna take away from the actuall bad guy and make him not so scary, cause we have a good guy who can do the same thing... Not that this movie has any hope in being scary to begin with, but still...

Balt's formulated opinion on this movie --> Gonna fuggin' suck!

Well, I like Christian Slater, but...was the first really good enough to warrant a sequel (especially considering that the plot to the sequel sounds ridiculous)?

..no.

He sucked in Alone in the Dark. No -- wait.... Alone in the Dark sucked. There we go.

Hollowman 2? First was decent, and not bad... but making a sequel seems pointless.

This sounds awful... I've always though Slater was ok, but it looks as if his career's on a downward spiral to shitsville!

A trailer for the direct-to-video release has been posted here

p.s. It only seems to work with RealPlayer.

I read my own little review about this and the guy who reviewed it said it was actually a decent movie...

...though I did just skim through it and picked up those kind of words.

I liked the first one cause it was honest in what it was about, a sleezy gory hack'n slash, but I dunno bout this one

Direct to video, eh? Didn't want to go with a theatrical release, which isn't a good sign. And Andrew has already seen it...why doesn't that surprise me?

Haha. I'm magical like that. I've seen a lot of movies that are not out yet.
