A friend told me there's gonna be a Q (John DeLancie from STAR TREK: TNG) two-parter of FAMILY GUY in which Q and Stewie become fast-friends, and they bring a live-action Picard (Patrick Stewart) into the animated world to teach Peter the Prime Directive ... for some reason.
Is this just a rumor, or are they actually making such an episode? My friend said it'll be on in November 2006.
I don't doubt it after Patrick Stewart's latest appearances on American Dad as Stan's Boss, and also on the last episode of Family Guy in which he reprised his role as Picard (the Worf joke). -Zavier
Though earth and man are gone, I thought the cube would last forever. I WAS WRONG.
Yeah. I saw that. My friend Chris who said he read about this also said that Picard foils Stewie and Q's elaborate plot for giving Lois a cinematically aesthetic death. If it's true, then a lot of the plot has just been ruined in this thread. Well, it sounds great!
I guess now that Fox basically had to give them whatever they wanted because they are stupid, the creators can almost do anything they want that fits the television. Star Trek would boost the ratings if not only for those episodes.
But I have a feeling it won't be a live action Picard but a cartoon Picard which would make more sense and look much better than what you're thinking... Either way it sounds great.
Family Guy will kick off its fifth season with an hourlong episode that retells the "Star Wars" saga using "Family Guy" characters.
Variety says Lucasfilm has blessed the event, which will have the Griffin family acting out all the key scenes and narrative from A New Hope. "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane is a major "Star Wars" fan and was personally involved in getting Lucasfilm on board.
Peter Griffin will play the role of Han Solo, while Lois will appear as Princess Leia. Evil baby Stewie will be Darth Vader.
Brian the family dog will serve as Chewbacca, while son Chris is Luke. Robots R2-D2 and C-3PO will be handled by Cleveland and Quagmire, respectively, while creepy old guy Herbert gets the Obi- Wan character.

Hahahahaha. Family Guy does a whole heap of Star Wars parodies. They're usually pretty good. Especially the ending to that episode where Peter goes blind.
