Firstly, can't wait for this. Second, Kurt to play a part in a Tarantino movie (his segment anyways) will be like dreamland! And for two full length films to be joined into two would be crazy... they must have to cut them down a little surely...

I may be an idiot, but I'm no idiot.

Kurt Russell will be awesome!  This is going to be like Escape From New York all over again.  I'm definitely going to see this.

About the length...I heard the death proof script is 130 pages, but apparently Tarantino is claiming it won't equate to 130 minutes of film.

Nova!  Nova!  Looks like maybe a '68 or so.

I wonder if Stuntman Mike resurrected it from Monster Joe's truck and tow, cleaned out the rest of Marvin's face, gave it a new paintjob, and made it "death proof".

Looks pretty kickass though.

EDIT:  Funny, the car on the poster looks like a '69 Camaro.

The poster looks like a 66 or 67 Camaro Rally Sport and the stunt car is a 67 Chevy Nova SS.

I know someone who has one, it says Kiss my SS on it.

No way, the back is too round.  The 67 has a squarer back side.

Here's some pics

Found another side view pic of the "movie car" as well.

Maybe they're using more than one. That last pic looks like a 69, 70 or 71. Hard to tell stripped down like that.

Didn't mean to argue with you.

No argument, just something to talk about.  I'll agree that late 60's/early 70's Novas have very similar bodies.

Pretty smart choice though, if they're planning on destroying a few, since they only go for a few grand apiece, unless they're using fiberglass molds.

Several spy pics from the set of Death Proof, including your first look at Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike. Head over to AICN to check them out.

And with a couple of 69 Chargers complete with rollbars floating around, I'm curious as to whether or not they switched the "death proof" car.

Quentin Tarantino doing a slasher flick. How can this not be one of the most awesome movies ever made? This is just gonna be spectacular. The best thing since American Beauty.

Cheers, Chism.
