Check out the new trailer for the thriller from director J.D. Caruso and producer Steven Spielberg in glorious QuickTime format:

http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1545006&sdm=web&qtw=480&qth=300

Looks a little Rear Window-esque to me, but it could be worth a look.

Cheers, Chismeister.

Fuck this movie. Just another remake with a different title. It's the same exact plot as rear window, a suspense classic, only he has a stupid ankle bracelet on. Ooooh, it's SO different.

"Picture Porky Pig raping Elmer Fudd" - George Carlin
"I have to sign before you shoot me?" - Navin Johnson
"It'll take time to restore chaos" - George W. Bush
"Harry, I love you!" - Ben Affleck
"What are you looking at, sugar t*ts?" - The man without a face
"Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death." - Exodus 31:15
"No one ever expects The Spanish Inquisition!" - The Spanish Inquisition
"Matt Damon" - Matt Damon

I agree. The only real difference is that he is under house arrest rather than wheelchair-ridden with a broken leg. And of course, he's a teenager and not Jimmy Stewart, which is a shame because Jimmy Stewart was like 50% of the reason why Rear Window was so good. He's just brilliant.

This movie will either be good, but too much like Rear Window to actually be liked or it will be very bad, people will forget about it really quickly and Rear Window will be okay. I liked the title though, Distrubia. It's kinda cool. I'll reserve my judgement for when I actually see the movie, but I am really not expecing anything except a blatant rip-off. I'm a big David Morse fan as well, he's done some incredible stuff, especially in The Green Mile and he's really, really getting under my skin in the recent episodes of House. I don't get Hack, though. Never liked that show.

Yeah, I like Morse too, just a bad choice on his part though I guess. I'm just getting SO sick of remakes. And this WILL be forgotten, just like every other remake, because it IS too much like the original (like EXACTLY like the original) except shittier. Jimmy Stewart and Hitchcock were what made Rear Window great, and it's one of my favorite movies. I could even tell in the back of my head that a remake of Rear Window had to be coming soon, I could just feel it, and I've been dreading it since the day I thought about it. It's a shame too, so many great movies are getting trampled on, and so many original movies are going unnoticed, like around here for example. There's a lot of scripts I've read on this site that I'd much rather watch than this crap. And anybody who hasn't seen Rear Window, and thinks this movie looks good, I strongly urge you to watch Rear Window first, or ONLY watch Rear Window.

But the title is pretty catchy too, it's probably gonna be the only good part of the whole movie.lol.

That's exactly what I was coming here to say.   The film might just be another remake of a classic, which will probably suck, but if you judged every film by its title, man, this one could rock!

I may be an idiot, but I'm no idiot.

Yeah the title is misleading. Stupid writers. Oh well, I shouldn't say that. At least they're working.
