Now I am not a fan of most musicals.  I hated Chicago, that was one crappy film, but I did like moulin rouge.

But this looks like a wicked film.  Seems to be a coming of age story that revolves around songs by the beattles.

I love that song. They lyrics are from some famous poem I can't remember. I remember Fiona Apple did a version of it for Pleasantville. It plays right at the end. The only bad thing I can see with this is Michael Jackson will reap the royalties. Bah!

Just watched the clip and... It looks awesome! Finally a movie with a Beatles soundtrack! and the story ain't half bad either. I will definitely go see this when it comes out.

This isn't the first movie with a Beatles soundtrack.  On the good side, there was Help and I wanna Hold Your Hand and The Yellow Submarine, but there were also Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band and Give My Regards to Broad Street (actually a Paul McCartney movie).  I think there were one or two John Lennon Movies, though I can't remember them.

This new one can go either way.

I love musicals, but I hate the Beatles.

So at best I'll probably see this in about twenty years when they're playing at as a midday movie on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Cheers, Chismeister.

I think this looks cool and has a lot of visuals, and the music sound great, not a fan of the cast, but i'm gonna give this one a benefit of the doubt.

By the way, what would you recommend as the best of the beatles movies?

I just looked up John Lennon on the IMDB and he's been attached to over 140 films; mainly through soundtracks.

What I meant to say was:

It's good to see someone making a musical out of the Beatles.

Sgt. Peppers was not a movie, it was just terrible.

Wrote this yesterday, but it was deleted. I don't know why, I was just trying to make my point.

The movie looks kind of surreal. It's gonna be pretty awesome.

By the way, what would you recommend as the best of the beatles movies?

Magical Mystery Tour was my favorite. Probably because of "I Am The Walrus". I haven't seen them in such a long time.

Has anyone seen The Rutles?

The Rutles was hilarious. You've gotta love Eric Idle. It was the best mockumentary I've seen since This Is Spinal Tap, which I actually haven't seen, but I'm sure it's pretty awesome.

Didn't they make a sequel to The Rutles? Better check that one out because the original was hilarious.

Cheers, Chismeister.

It's not really a sequel. More of just interview from a whole bunch of famous people telling how the Rutles changed their lives, I think.
