I liked the original. I was looking foward to this one. It looked as though it would evade the bad remake curse,... but then it recieved the dreaded PG-13 rating.
*Sigh...*

When I watched the trailer I just started laughing. They packed every friggin cliché into this. The first half looks like Laguna Beach cloned with My Super Sweet Sixteen and the second a knock-off of every bad slasher movie ever.

I don't see why people are bitching about the PG-13 rating. If you've seen the original, you'd know it would've surely gotten a PG-13 by today's standards. That being said, it still looks pretty bad.

The original wouldn't have recieved a PG-13 rating. The two in the van smoking pot, drinking beer, having sex, then getting slaughtered(while naked). That's not pg-13. i also remember another sex scene in the school. Both sex scenes had boob action. And let's not forget the decapitation at the end. The remake will surely have none of this. ~Zack~

That decapitation was deliciously awesome. I miss it. Stephen Susco said the draft that he wrote of Prom Night was a Hard R but they brought in another writer after him and there's almost no resemblance to what he wrote. I think he's still credited though.
