Yeah there's been talk for quite some time and it's been confirmed recently. It's gonna blow monkey balls naturally. This is one show whose characters you can't translate into contemporary stars. I mean, Ice Cube instead of Mr. T? I don't like it. And Dwight Schultz owns Murdock. I never thought I'd be one of those purists who are against a remake in principal but this is just wrong. I hate it when a remake comes together. |

I never saw the original series, but Cannell's comments that the movie will be a more serious, grim & gritty take, which he approves of, seems kind of ridiculous. The original series was pretty tongue in cheek right? So why couldn't the movie be a big high adventure lark? Why take a property and change the very elements that made it succesful?
It's like the idiotic streak that still grips the comics industry, the need to make everything uber-serious and "adult" by tossing in cursing and as many sexual elements as possible. |

Looks terrible doesn't it? BA is the main problem for me. He can't act. Bit of a stumbling block that. Would have been better with a geriatric Mr T in it.... |

Mr. T is a God awful actor - but he was so bad he was actually good. This new BA...Jesus, I don't know what to say. This looks like a joke - but not on purpose. |

B.A. Baracus. The black guy. Used to be played by Mr T. Now it's "Rampage" a streetfighter turned actor. He looks terrible. Looks tiny as well, for some reason, which kind of defeats the point. You young pup, too young to have appreciated the sheer delight of the A Team as a kid. It was an institution, along with Knight Rider and Airwolf (which I thought was a bit crap tbh). |

I have actually flown in the helicopter they used in Airwolf - pretty awesome (but, yeah, the series was crap - Jan Michael Vincent? Please). |

I'm not ready to jump on the 'this is shit' bandwagon. Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper are great. The director, Joe Carnahan, has a decent track record. Narc was awesome and Smokin' Aces was cool. |

I thought the trailer looked pretty good, and I was a fan of the real show. I thought the parachuting tank was one of those over-the-top stunts that you would expect from the A-Team.
I would liked to have seen more of Murdoch in the trailer. I think he had only one line in the whole thing.

The story is strangely absent from the trailer, and yet the synopsis on IMDb sounds promising. Trailers are rarely indicative of quality, and Neeson is a strong actor who secures my ticket.
Trailers 2 and 3 need to focus on the plot, simple as that.

Hee hee! It's funny you should say that, Andrew...I was just thinking about a conversation my friend had with the second unit director three weeks into shooting...the director was absolutely miserable. They'd been shooting for weeks, they had no footage or storyboards from first unit, and the script for the film had yet to be finished. Basically, the direction the second unit was given was things like, "Film a helicopter blowing up...and also car chase B roll". The poor guy had no idea how what we was shooting would be incorporated into the movie, or how it fed into the plot (which didn't, as a whole, exist yet).
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the focus may not be on story, here, exactly... |
