For those of you unaware, this will be in 3D. The opening "disaster" scene will be a high speed race car accident, with pieces of the crash flying into the crowd of fans.

Full casting announced here- http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/11340

Hopefully this one is better than the last two.

The first one worked because it was a fresh take on old material. It had an interesting premise. The two sequels didn't work because they simply took the exact same scenario and dropped in a bunch of two dimensional characters we couldn't give a rat's fat arse about. Neither of them tried to elevate the material by doing something different.

FD4 either needs to add another dimension to the premise, or it needs to shut down production. If they're just going to do the same thing with different people then what's the point? Oh, and doing it in 3-D doesn't count as something new. That's just a cheap gimmick to make people think the filmmakers are putting more thought into this one than normal. Just my two cents anyway.

I agree, I like the films but they do need to add some kind of twist or something to mix it up and make it different than the others instead of having new people each time getting killed by death, its going to get old, but I am looking forward to seeing the opening sequence.

Why do these produces not seem to know when to stop?

Unless the original is written as a trilogy/quadrilogy, they always just get ridiculous, desperately trying to find new gimicks to attract punters. The sad thing about it is that it works! At least for an initial cash cow...but how many people buy the dvd?

When the trailer first started I thought "That looks pretty stupid", but I have to admit that the back-end was pretty sweet.  I like how they showed a lot but at the same time they showed it so quickly you don't really know what to make of it.

It'll be a good popcorn flick.

That looks pretty cool. Some of it looks pretty cheesy and bad, but people mainly go to see these films for the gore factor. It looks like one girl gets cleaned to death, though.....

I disagree.  2 was awesome...probably better than the original.  The kills were amazing and the opening crash scene was 1 of the best filmed scenes I've ever seen.  3 wasn't bad either...not as good as the 1st 2 for sure, but still enjoyable.

I look forward to 4...especially in 3D  Bloody V was excellent in that new 3 D!

Now I see what the huge budget was used on....40 million dollars!!!! They better change that date that it shares with H2 if they want maximum profit. That'll probably hurt opening weekend a lot.
The trailer looks okay. The escalator scene was a bit over the top. This will be a gory action movie with all the explosion and implosion. Could be a great fun time at the theater.

My best movie-going experience was with a FD movie was FD2. It was packed and the audience was so into it. Fun times.

Note: I miss the days of seeing a trailer for the first time in the theater and having no idea that the film was even being made.

This looks ok but I wonder if it does well, will there be more?  How many stupid ways can they come up with killing people?  3D might be cool though.

As far as technical quality goes, this looks better than the other three. The acting however, is beyond bad, even for a Horror movie -- it's seriously borderline pathetic.

The death scenes (the ones implied on the trailer, anyway) look uninspired and they don't seem creative at all.

Then comes the ridiculous title. "The Final Destination"? I almost laughed out loud. They should've just called it Final Destination 4.
