This is a very watchable film, but strange none the less. It's a very stylised, edgy film thats particularly violent in parts. It pays homage to chase films of yesteryear. The soundtrack is great, even if it is at odds with the scenes it plays over at times. The plot seems to fall in on it self, but even though it has shortcomings, it's Ryan Goslings edgy, distant, likeable and violent chaaracter that pulls a view in. As far as action movies go, not bad.

The only problem I had with this film was that I felt like some plot points were just stretched too long. Maybe it was because I was expecting a little more straight on action with the film after seeing the trailers, but after a while I got used to the pacing, cause the slow burn of it all pays off extremely well by the end.
