I loved Zombieland and this is quite exciting news for me as I am really loving Walking Dead (and we only have to wait a week after the states for the new episodes!) so a ZOMCOM would do me just fine.
I heard in an interview with the writers of Zombieland that Zombieland was originally set up as a TV show at one point and that the script that ended up being the movie was the pilot episode (more or less).

If it has even a slight hint of zombie in it... I run the opposite way. It's time to create something new or jump on the bandwagon of some other monster/entity for awhile. And please, not Vampires again.
How about mummies... Oh wait, we did that already with disastrous results.
I always thought Zombieland did put a different spin on your typical romero clones. The humour was spot on observational. And how many zombie TV shows have there actually been? One, which has only been on a year so not sure what bandwagon you are refering too. Also, zombies at the movies? Romero's latest were all disastrous flops, 28 days franchise (technically NOT zombies) has had one and a half good movies, last of which was 5 years ago. And Shaun of the Dead was 8 years ago and also far away from waht you'd call your "typical" zombie film.
Granted, on the indie scene, there are a tonne of them, but I havent found one decent one.
Beverly Hills cop every week? pass, especially if Murphy is in it.
