Well it can't be as bad as the Matthew Broderick crapfest

It does have the brilliant Bryan Cranston

I'm actually looking quite forward to this. The cast is excellent, I love the dark, apocalyptic tone and the fact that they've kept the Japanese angle, not to mention the monster looks right on the money.

I enjoyed Pacific Rim last year but it was definitely more on the fun side of things. Here's to hoping this is more on the side of terror, death, and destruction.

Bless Zack for endearing enthusiam, no matter how misplaced.

I really didn't enjoy Pacific Rim. Not quite down there with About Time, though. It started off with real style before the boys' own business.

Now, Cranston is as good as actors get. But those poor fools like I who watched him in Total Recall will remember there's only so much they can do in a shitefest.

Who knows, this may be great. It's not very likely though, is it?

Well, I'm off down the shops to buy some of those lottery tickets. You never know.

Why is it not likely? Have you seen the FREAKING trailer!? AHHHHHH! And all the talent in front of and behind the camera? Pff. I'll be there opening night wearing a Godzilla suit 4 sizes too small for me. And I will love it.

No, Zack. I haven't seen the trailer. I think I'd rather get a haddock and slap myself with it than watch the trailer.

I've seen many trailers. The one for the Avengers (no, not that one, the other one with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman and Sean Connery) looked great. Trailers often look great. If they don't then nobody will go see the movie.

You can't judge how good a film will be on the trailer. That like judging a car on what colour it is.

They do say red ones go faster.

I may be wrong, Zack. But like you I'm entitled to my opinion. We shall see.

I've seen people like you in the front row of the cinema before. You always make me smile.

Congratulations on your enthusiasm, I'm serious by the way. I do wish I enjoyed as many films half as much as you do.

Alas! Enjoy it while you can. One day it may fade when the grey hairs appear and the waist of your trousers feels far too tight. Or it may not. Hair dye and gym memberships and happy pills are available, or so I'm told.

So when the movie releases and receives very positive word of mouth, can I expect an apology for assuming that I'm just a young kid who doesn't know quality when I see it. If I'm wrong then I will apologize for getting overexcited. Let me watch the trailer again real quick... Yep. I need new panties again. AHHHHHHH! Watch the trailer R, you will be impressed and, dare I say, hopeful.

While the first teaser wasn't great, this new full length trailer was nothing short of awesome. Legendary Pix and/or WB has some braintrust in the marketing department. There's a brilliant bit in the trailer where Ken Wantanbe's character gives a brief exposition regarding Godzilla. "We accidentally awoken it in the '50s...the bomb tests were actually attempts to kill it" or something like that.

There';s also the strong chance that Godzilla, while on a rampage, isn't the only player in town. There might be another monster involved. The shot of the F-16s dropping from the sky suggest this. And why wouldn't it be neat if true? Two monsters having a spat, pick a city as a personal cage match.

I'm looking foward to the film more than any other in the coming summer now.
Hekk, I'm looking forward to sunshine altogether...

This is going to be good, that's for sure.  It'll be way better than the shit fest 1998 movie, anyway.

For the first time in a long time, Godzilla really feels like the end of the world.  His destruction feels immense.  I love it.

Looking forward to it, although I'm not too keen on the idea of more than one monster.

It's called "Godzilla", not "Godzilla and Company."

... can I expect an apology...?

Aw, Zack. An apology? They do say manners maketh man. But that was long before they invented the internet - a place that makes the schoolyard seem civilized. You do realise we're not actually in a gentlemen's club, don't you?

As for your comments about your panties I feel you should really reconsider before writing about them again.

I didn't assume you were a young kid who got overexited. I assumed you were Zack who often gets excited by movies.

I watched the trailer. And I'm not excited. I'm not even vaguely interested. If this is a good film I will apologize, Zack. However, it's directed by the guy who did Monsters - another monster movie that was a piss poor of District 9 with monsters instead of aliens.

It's co-written by a guy who hasn't had a credit for ten years and another one who wrote Expendables 3. And Expendables 2.

Good luck with that. It sounds like it's gonna be a big fat turkey with a limp.

I watch a lot of the trailers for new films, even though I won't ever see any of them, lol.

I liked this trailer a lot! I showed my seven year old son. His eyes were wide. He says, but it won't be scary, Dad, will it?   Lol
