Music by Tan Dun

Once again, Tan Dun brings us an incredible oriental score. I noticed quite a few similarities between this score and his for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Maybe a subtle way of connecting the two movies. What can I say, it works.

Simple violins, drums, flutes. Everything is simple, no big orchesta. There wasn't a single scene I didn't think the music fit. One of the best scores (if not THE best) that I've heard all summer.

i have to agree...i've actually heard several of the soundtrack pieces and haven't seen the movie :p

but yes indeed, he's certainly up there with Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, and John Debney.  his style of music and orchestrated pieces works very well for something like Hero i think...

i'm reminded of Howard Shore ...
