I always thought (assumed) his surname was Baltis. How misinformed was I. |

Balt will be back. I remember him saying, prior to dropping off, that he just didn't have it in him to write at the moment. He's probably still mourning the passing of Brittany Murphy. |

RV is having massive internet connection problems apparently, and hasn't been able to get it working since he returned from his holiday.
He should be up and running soon though. |

Never a bad endeavour. Referring to the 'cockney', of course; but I guess the comment works both ways! Helpful if you rustle your belt buckle whilst saying the "That'll learn 'em" part for its connotations! Andrew |

Indeed. I've added it to my favourites. I'm also a big fan of the Urban Dictionary. Check out the definition of high school.
Quoted Text High school is a failed experiment in preparing young people for the adult world. All high schools in the country were built around 1960 and were designed to hold about half as many students as they currently do. Nothing seems to work quite right in a high school building. The heaters only work during the summer and the air conditioning only works in the winter. The asbestos insulation has all fagged out and the building becomes an oven or a meat locker, depending on the time of year. The plumbing is usually a disaster in high school, with drinking fountains never working but toilets that never stop running.
High schools are usually poorly run by a team of out of touch assholes, also known as Principals, counselor, teachers, and ex-Marine drill sergeants (gym teachers). These people seem hell bent on destroying all hope for students through tedious testing, poorly planned projects, educational videos made during the Truman Administration, and text books that mention the Soviet Union on every page.
High school is also the place where the stress of growing up and the stress of fitting in join forces to destroy even the strongest among us. Most of High school is not spent learning but involves trying to find friends who aren't complete douche bags, trying hook up with people of the opposite sex unsuccessfully, combing your hair, buying cloths in the effort that someone will notice you, working out so you will not get your ass kicked everyday, trying desperately to get rid of the zits that have taken over your face, driving a car that a homeless person wouldn't piss in or riding on an over crowed bus while choking on diesel fumes, while people you don't know make fun of you worse then your friends do, and on top of all of that, you must act like nothing is wrong in your life. High school is a place where everyone acts like their lives are great but are really dead inside. |

Ha, quality stuff Chris, UD is an excellent site. I have a few zingers too but they're probably not suited for these boards, SS has a U rated, family friendly image to maintain.
P.s Check out the definition of "Helmet Hummer" when you get a chance. |

Not back persay... I got a few e-mails here that needed a response so I thought I'd address those real quick. I then saw someone who needed some software so I dropped him a line and then another thread about omitting "is" and "are" and laughed a little.
Anyways, I've been busy with my band and writing some music stuff on my end. I've also been taking some time to spend with my family a bit more than I use to. I left the site because I was feeling pretty close to being booted again and I didn't want it to come to that, so out of respect for Don and his site I wanted to remove myself and give me some time to adjust my disposition a bit before he had to come and do it. All due to the fact in every post up to when I left the site I was more and more verbally abusive and combative and argumentative. I know I'll use this outlet again so I don't wanna burn anymore bridges than I already have, basically.
I can be harsh and a bit hard to take. And a lot of the screenplays I read here are from new writers who don't know what they're doing. Add me into the mix trying to tell them what to do and how to do it and you've got confrontation and a whole lot of higher opinion based ranting because I can be so verbally condescending at times. It was for the best and I really haven't had a lot of time to contribute to the site or screenwriting anyways.
But I'll be back sometime... Maybe sooner than later. I dunno, I want a really good script when I do though. I don't wanna just not contribute and I want something new. |

Balt, my friend, you've been missed...especially by me, as I may soon be booted for my assholic ways, and without you, I seem to come across as the only asshole here.
Got to tell you I was very bummed that you pulled out of the 7WC at the last second. I for one was really looking forward to your entry.
Hope your head is clear and things are back on track. Hope to hear from you soon.
Late. |

Who's close to getting booted?
We're all characters here. Some more colorful than others, but needed just the same.
Balt, I'm glad you're back too, but I was disappointed, even annoyed that you didn't submit your 7WC script. |

Glad to hear you're enjoying your music. Life is too short to be without music and your family is important. Sandra |
