By the way, If dothebartman1234 gets a job in companies like Universal Studios, Tristar, Paramount, Warner Bros just to pop up ideas to them...

Why not? One day the chairman could say to him..- "That'$ it, boy! It is what we are looking for!" picks up the phone and  "Hello, Miss Ferrol? Call to the Cohen Bros, right now and tell them that we have a great idea to a screenplay!" - Then the chairman hit a little the dothebartman1234's chin and says: "You are our Boys Ideas!"

keep thinking, creating and writing because one day you will hit the Super Jackpot ...

hahah that sort of a nice way of saying "i have a broken watch and its right twice a day."

I think what everyone is trying to get across is that as he is in this state, nothing like this will ever happen.  Why?  Because there is no thought in his ideas.  His ideas are blanket ideas with no substance that has crossed the desk of every producer at least a hundred times.

I have over 80 story ideas stored away.  Anything wrong with that?  Nope.  Do I work on them all or have worked on them all, nope.

The problem is if I were to do what he does, jumping from idea to idea, I would never finish anything.  That is the point they are trying to get across.  Not be mean or malicious, but trying to really help him out.  He does need focus.  If he doesn't choose to focus, that's fine too, but he will never finish anything.

As it stands I have 4 novels completed, three half finished, two scripts completed, and one half way finished.  I don't work on just one project, I can't, but I do force myself to limit the number I do work on, and I don't stop until they are finished.  And I don't start any new ones until every single current project is completed.  That is the way I work, it takes a lot of discipline, but its worth it.  I also usually out of my group of projects have one or two focus projects, which are the ones I work on the most and try to finish first.  The others I work on when I have writers block, or just need a break from the story line.

To help me keep focused and stay on track I do organically outline.  I do flesh out the story line.  I do work on the characters, I do work on the situation.  These also work great for overcoming writers block.

Good luck to bart I wish you all the success in the world, but I would suggest taking the previous advice of other posters to heart because they are trying to help.
