I am working on Lost Planet, but as I said in another thread, I'm out of ideas, and need a break from it. I decided that since I have nothing to do I would adapt "The Bartimaeus Trilogy." I really need a co-writer for it, as it is three books (thus "trilogy") and they aren't short.
The way I want to do it is have one co-writer for each book, unless he co-writer wants to continue really bad, that way one writer doesn't get super burnt out on it.
I want someone who's read at least the first book of the trilogy, and I want someone who's had experience with adapting before.
If this works out and if it's not way expensive, I may buy the rights to this if possible. But I really need someone who's not big headed or likes to take charge, just someone to help me write the script and help with adapting it from on very different media to another.
Email me if interested or if you need refreshing on the plot for the novels. (which means your interested!)

PS: For those of you who think I may be filling up the boards with all my ideas, I'm not. I have no scripts (other than Lost Planet, which is on hold for now.) that I'm working on. My horror script is finished as I posted in another thread, and this is all I'm doing. So please don't say anything to get this locked!
This sounds like something I'd want to do. I'm in the middle of revising an adapted script right now. That said, it would be a few weeks before I could help you on it. But still, I'm interested. If you want to email me an outline of everything you want to have of the book in the script, that'd be cool. But, I'd only be able to help on one of them like you said.
Your ideas sound interesting, but I do have to say that I haven't read the books. Maybe I'll check them out at some point and then I can get back to you about possibly co-writing with you.
Good. I really need some help with it. I've adapted books before, but this is a little hard for me. And they're big books, so it's a lot for one person to do. Thanks for the interest!
