Will actually be a 3WC and will have something that previous challenges did not include. I don't want to go into specifics, but this challenge will require writers to use established characters. Not everyone will be able to do it because of they may not be familiar with said characters. Just thought I'd start a little early buzz. See ya in a few weeks. Side note: That was fun, Ray. Phil

Are we talking about establishing characters that have existed in other media or characters present here on Simplyscripts? I say this because I see so many of these Simplyscripts scripts and none of them really embody the users/members that they're using. Anyways, I might be in if I have the time and general working knowledge of what it's about/who it's about. I look forward to it none the less.

Not meaning to stir the pot here but if we use establish characters then won't that diminish the chances of a script being produced? Unless of course the characters are historical figures or public domain...

Same here, Chief.
Short lived as it was.
Wtf? you two just have cyber sex somewhere in an off thread?
Anywho, I'm in. Hopefully if it's characters from a movie or TV show, a very popular one that most will relate with.
3 weeks??? Gonna be a 30 pager or what?

It's going to be a 30-40 pager or so. I can't guarantee that everyone will be familiar with the characters; being that SS is an international community, there's no way that everyone will be familiar with the theme The chances of it being produced are pretty slim, Cornetto; it's just an exercise. But(t) these'll be characters & theme we can do successful google research on, right?
Yes. These characters will be familiar to most people. Those who aren't familiar will be able to research, should they choose to.

Anonymous this time? Also, guessing Phil will not be partaking since you seem to have up-front knowledge? James

It'll be up to Don if this will be anonymous.
I won't be participating this time around.

Yes, it will be anonymous this time. The January 2011 3OC will only be open to discussion board members. In fact, you will have to be signed into the discussion board to see the challenge topic/genre.

This sounds like a pretty cool challenge. Will the three weeks begin in the first week of January?
